The intense and action-packed noir crime drama 'Shehar Lakhot' premiered on November 30. The show, which stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Kubbra Sait, takes viewers into a world where murder, politics, blackmail, and love are the tactics used while treachery, hidden goals, and deception are the rules of life.
In an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, Kubbra Sait talked about how her journey has been inspired by a number of actors that she looks up to. She said, "When I came to Mumbai, I didn’t know I wanted to be an actor, I just came to the city and to live in the city you have to make money and then you do whatever you need to do to make money. But when I thought of actors even back then, it was all the character actors."
"I do remember looking up to Radhika Apte, Divya Dutta, Shefali Shah, Vidya Balan, such incredible actors of our time. They are reinventing things," she added.
Kubbra also highlighted that the show is elevated because of its music. She said, "The personality of the show is highlighted and elevated because of the music. The music in itself is an independent character of the show."

The show is produced by Offroad Films, directed by Navdeep Singh, and written and created by Singh and Devika Bhagat. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Kubbra Sait's projects
After impressing with her performances in Farzi and Shehar Lakhot, Kubbra Sait will be next seen in Shahid Kapoor starrer Deva. Rosshan Andrews, a Malayalam action thriller director, is directing Deva, which will be his first feature film as a director. Pooja Hegde also stars in the movie, which is scheduled for release around Dussehra next year.
