Shehzada Box Office Prediction: Advance booking of Kartik Aaryan starrer looks disappointing

Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, Shehzada Advance Booking opened on Sunday but has had a rocky start. The fact that Antman has gotten a much bigger advance than Shehzada suggests that changing the February 10th date to February 17th was a miscalculation.

In contrast to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, where advance booking started a week or 10 days before the film's release, pre-sales for the Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon movie started just a few days before the release. In reality, full-fledged booking has only recently begun. As of right now, there isn't much momentum visible, and the movie is probably going to start off poorly in terms of advance ticket sales.

According to a trade report, Shehzada has already sold tickets worth 40 lakhs through a day 1 advance sale. The fact that the number is so low puts even Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (5 crores in gross) is out of reach. This number needs to increase to 2 crores gross with a little bump tonight and tomorrow. After that, if the word-of-mouth is positive, the walk-in audience will carry it further.

A double-digit opening was anticipated initially for Shehzada, but given the tepid response in major markets like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and others, a score far lower than 10 crores could now be projected. 

Meanwhile, Shehzada is an upcoming action film, helmed by Rohit Dhawan and is Aaryan's debut as a co-producer. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Allu Arvind and Kartik Aaryan. It also stars Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar. The film is an official Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramloo which stars Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde, Tabu, Murali Sharma, Rajendra Prasad, and others.
