Shehzada Returns Home on…: Kartik Aaryan announces the new release date of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo remake

After wowing audiences with his charismatic performance in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan is all set to bring his charm to screen yet again with Shehzada. But in some disappointing news for the actor’s fans, they will have to wait a bit longer to see the star in action in the upcoming action comedy. Aaryan recently shared a new release date for his upcoming film.

Taking to his official social media handles, the actor shared an exciting glimpse of his character from the upcoming film where he is seen mid sprint with an intense look on his face. Part of the caption on the post read “Shehzada Returns Home”. The film is now slated for release on February 10, 2023.

Shehzada will see Aaryan reunite with his Luka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon. Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar also essay pivotal roles in the upcoming action comedy. Rohit Dhawan has directed the film, while Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Allu Arvind, S Radha Krishna and Aman Gill are its producers.

The upcoming film is the Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The film, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, starred Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde, Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, Nivetha Pethuraj, Samuthirakani and Murali Sharma, among others. The film is available for streaming on Netflix.

Speaking about the film, Aaryan had told Pinkvilla about how Dhawan has ‘beautifully’ adapted the film to suit Hindi audiences. Expressing his excitement for the same, the actor talked about how the film had a wide appeal. “People will get to see me in this complete avatar of action and comedy for the first time”, he teased.

The actor is also awaiting the release of his film Freddy, which will see him share the screen with Alaya F. The film was directed by Shashank Ghosh. Aaryan will also play the lead in Sameer Vidwan’s upcoming yet to be titled film as well.
