Vishnu Varadhan has worked with Nayanthara in Arrambam previously.
The director of Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani starrer Shershaah, Vishnu Varadhan, compared the actress to South superstar Nayanthara. He was promoting his movie, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. During a recent interaction, Vishnu called Kiara and Nayanthara 'one of the smartest, smartest and most intelligent actors he has met so far'.
"The last time I had met someone like that was Nayanthara and seeing Kiara today… well… it was a pleasure working with her," she said, as reported by ANI. Vishnu pointed out another similarity between them and said that she had to give them a hint.
Vishnu worked with Nayanthara in two Tamil blockbusters. They collaborated for the first time in the 2007 release Billa and 2013 film Arrambam.
Kiara plays the role of Dimple Cheema in the movie. She is seen as 'Shershaah' Vikram Batra’s (Sidharth) in the film. The actress will be seen as one of the strongest characters, who is no less than a pillar to an army officer at the frontline.
Shershaah is one of the films opting for a direct-to-OTT release. The movie will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from August 12.
After Shershaah, Kiara will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Jug Jugg Jeeyo. She also has Shashank Khaitan's next untitled film and Shankar's directorial with Ram Charan, also untitled, in her kitty.
