Vishnu Varadhan with Akash Murali
Director Vishnu Varadhan is all set to make his comeback to Tamil films. After a successful Bollywood debut with the National Award-winning 2021 film Shershaah, starring Siddharth Malhotra, the Billa director is all set to make his next Tamil directorial with Atharvaa’s brother, Akash Murali. Akash makes his acting debut opposite Aditi Shankar in the lead role.
As per the latest reports, the makers have finished the shoot of the film, which was shot in Portugal, Spain and India. Interestingly, the director has roped in his frequent collaborator Yuvan Shankar Raja to score music for the film. Produced by Xavier Britto, the first look of the film is expected to be out soon.
Vishnu Varadhan’s last Tamil film, Yatchan, which was released in 2015, had Arya and Kreshna in lead roles.
Starring debutant Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar in lead roles, the film is slated to be a romantic drama. It was initially announced in 2021 on the occasion of the Tamil New Year, with the makers releasing a statement about the new project. Recently, the director shared a few black-and-white shots of himself and Akash Murali. Check out the new shots shared by the production house:
The director, who has been busy with the production of his Tamil project, is also occupied with another film featuring Salman Khan and Trisha in the lead. Titled ‘The Bull’, the film is backed by Karan Johar under his Dharma Productions. Interestingly, the director was supposed to do AK62 with Ajith Kumar; however, he had already signed his new Tamil film and his second Bollywood project.
Although fans have been waiting for Vishnu Varadhan and Ajith to collaborate once again after Aarambam and Billa, there hasn't been any confirmation regarding a possible project.
