Shershaah release date: When and where to watch Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer film

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer Shershaah release is just around the corner. The much-awaited film based on the life of Kargil war hero PVC Vikram Batra is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from August 12, 2021. The film directed by Vishnu Varadhan opted for an OTT release after much delay. Shershaah is co-produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions.

Shershaah is a true story of a PVC awardee brave Indian soldier- Capt. Vikram Batra, who shot to fame and became a household name during the Kargil War in 1999. His indomitable spirit and his unflinching courage in chasing the Pakistani soldiers out of Indian territory contributed immensely to India finally winning the Kargil War in 1999.

In the film, Sidharth plays the double role of Vikram's twin brother Vishal Batra and is romantically paired opposite Kiara Advani. She plays the role of Dimple Cheema who still hasn't got married to anyone else after losing Vikram in the war.

The nearly three-minute-long trailer dropped on July 25, 2021, by Amazon Prime Video and it gives goosebumps instantly. The trailer gave a major insight into what Shershaah is about and how Vikram Batra showed his relentless bravery on the war front.

The video has garnered more than 43 million views on YouTube until now. 

Shershaah also features Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar, and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles. 

The film is hitting the streaming platform just a few days before Independence Day.
