Shiladitya Bora’s directorial debut, Bhagwan Bharose, is inching closer to completion. The makers announced that the film is eyeing for a winter 2022 release.
According to IANS, the upcoming Vinay Pathak led film is currently in the final stages of post production. The film is produced by Bora’s Platoon One Films banner along with Lighthouse Innoventures and Sri Sathya Sai Arts. Popular Sri Lankan filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage will also serve as a producer on the film. The film’s script is written by Sudhakar Nilmani and Mohit Chauhan.
Regarding his first directorial, Bora opened up about how he had to wait almost two decades to fulfill his ambition of becoming a director. He also revealed that there had been many times when he had become close to making his directorial debut in the past but which did not work out. He also credited ‘divine intervention’ for helping him achieve his dream, and that too independently, with Bhagwan Bharose.
The film’s star Pathak also expressed his excitement at being a part of Bora’s project, which he believes will mark the beginning of Bora’s long and distinguished career. Regarding the film’s premise, Pathak said it was a pleasant and uncommon story.
In addition to Pathak, the film also stars Masumeh Makhija, Manu Rishi Chadha, Shrikant Verma, Sawan Tank, and Krishna Singh Bisht.
Makhija too had nothing but good things to say about the director and his debut project, revealing that the coming-of-age drama dealt with some important themes concerning the present day India.
