The internet is taken by storm after the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi visited India’s serene island Lakshadweep and hailed its beauty amid the Maldives row. Following his short trip, the island abuzzed the internet and Google search as a tourism spot. Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media and extended their support and desire to visit the place and immerse themselves in its beauty. B-town celebs like Shilpa Shetty, Pooja Hegde, Shraddha Kapoor, Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, and others lined up to contribute to the cause.

Lakshadweep as a tourist destination

The captivating pictures of Lakshadweep and its sheer blue waters have stirred the conversation to feature Lakshadweep as one of the top destinations as a holiday spot. Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the island and urged to support the homegrown beauty.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi shared the picturesque landscape while he visited the island and since then the place has been all over the internet with hot debates to boycott the Maldives and other foreign spots and adore the Indian beauty. Following this, the entire B-town biggies extended their support and gazed at the serene destination. Earlier today, Salman Khan and Tiger Shroff lauded the beauty and shared their views on X. Now more Bollywood celebs are lost in the charisma of Lakshadweep.

For the unversed, a few days ago PMO Modi inaugurated the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fiber Connection and also laid the foundation for some health initiatives. Following this, a Maldives minister ignited rows of controversy after he derogated Indians with hate speech. He also faced flak for racism and supremacy of Maldives beaches over the Indian islands. This marked the beginning of a social media battle as netizens and celebrities came forward to support Indian tourism and beaches

On January 4, PM Modi shared gripping pictures of his visit to the island and wrote on X, “For those who wish to embrace the adventurer in them, Lakshadweep has to be on your list. During my stay, I also tried snorkeling - what an exhilarating experience it was!”

Sukhee actress Shilpa Shetty is mesmerized by the ‘Crystal-clear waters and tranquil shores,’ and has added the island to her destination wish list. While Varun Dhawan is following PM’s steps and is overwhelmed by the pristine beaches so much that he can’t wait to visit.

The Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actress Pooja Hegde hopped on to the trend and hailed the vibrant culture by listing it on her travel bucket list.

Meanwhile, other celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, and Randeep Hooda were also bewitched by the beauty of the Indian island.
