Shilpa Shirodkar worked in several Hindi movies during the 90s. The actress collaborated with actors like Govinda, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and many more in Bollywood. However, she decided to quit the film industry for marriage. In a new interview, Shilpa, last seen in Bigg Boss 18, revealed why she had 'no regret' about leaving showbiz. The actress admitted she was happy to leave it and get married.

In an interview with the Times of India, Shilpa Shirodkar revealed her mother believed that everything should happen at the right time, or else one 'misses the boat.' "So it was necessary for me to move on, and the next step for a girl at 26-27 was marriage. I got married. I was very happy to leave the industry and marry, " Shilpa shared.
The actress further admitted that she had 'no regret' because she always listened to what her mom said. Shirodkar believed that her mom would make the correct decisions for her life. "The decision was to get married and I never wanted to leave India but as I said destiny always has some other plans," she added.
The Bigg Boss 18 contestant mentioned that it was in her 'destiny' that she had to move out of India. That was another reason Shilpa couldn't continue working in the film industry and turned to being a homemaker.
Shilpa Shirodkar's comeback in movies
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shirodkar recently announced her comeback to movies. The actress will be seen in filmmaker Venkat Kalyan's film, Jatadhara. She will be seen alongside Sudheer Babu in the movie.
While sharing the poster of her new film on Instagram, Shilpa captioned her post: "New beginnings! I’m thrilled to announce my next project, JATADHARA, a story penned and directed by VenkatKalyan. Presented by zeestudiosofficial UmeshKRBansal PrernaArora pprernaarora Can’t wait for you guys to join me on this exciting journey! (sic)."
