Shimmy: Pratik Gandhi starrer short film wins three nominations at Critics Choice Awards

Pratik Gandhi starrer short film, Shimmy, which released on Amazon miniTV in September last year, continues to make good noise for itself. The film opened to critics and audiences applauding the short film for brilliantly capturing a sensitive narrative within a short period of time. In a recent development, the esteemed jury of Critics Choice Awards has nominated the film in three categories.

The film has been nominated for the ‘Best Film' Category, Pratik Gandhi for ‘Best Actor’ Category and Disha Rindani for ‘Best Writer’ Category along with Jai Mehta. The film is a new-age narrative spun around the innocent and strong bonding between a father and daughter, featuring Pratik Gandhi in the lead along with Bhamini Oza and Chahat Tewani in pivotal roles.

Gandhi expressed his delight on the film being applauded by the audience and critics and also receiving such great honours. He issued a statement saying he is absolutely delighted and considers it an honour that his film Shimmy has been nominated for the ‘Best Film’ category and he has received a nomination for ‘Best Actor’. He is overjoyed to see that 'good and honest' films like Shimmy is receiving love from audiences and critics all across. He especially owes it to the wide reach of the streaming platform.
