Team Mafia has brought young actor Shine Shetty on board. The gritty cop thriller has Prajwal Devaraj and Aditi Prabhudeva playing the leads and Shine Shetty will be seen playing a police officer in the film. The Bigg Boss Season 7 winner shares most of his screen space with Prajwal Devaraj and plays a prominent role in the film as his close associate.

Shine Shetty took to social media a short while ago to unveil his character look in the film and also express gratitude to the team for the opportunity. "It’s a great pleasure to be associating with a wonderful team and be sharing the screen with a friend, brother, and a great human being Prajwal Devaraj sir," wrote Shine in his post. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he got to know Prajwal Devaraj at a personal level during his hosting stint on a reality show with the latter being one of the judges on it. Shine Shetty played a cop in the Puneeth Rajkumar film James.

Primarily known for his television career, Shine Shetty rose to prominence during the seventh season of Bigg Boss Kannada which he went on to win. Coming to the film Mafia, the film is being directed by Lohith H. of Mummy and Devaki fame with Prajwal Devaraj donning the avatar of an intense cop in pursuit of defeating a deadly human trafficking nexus. Aditi Prabhudeva stars in the role of an investigative journalist with Sadhu Kokila, Vijay Chendoor, and others playing important parts - veteran actor and Prajwal's father Devaraj will be seen making a special appearance. Reportedly, the team has already completed 25 days of production and will embark on a 34-day long one from the 16th of June. Bengaluru and Hyderabad are the two chosen locations.
