The makers of Bheeshma Parvam have kept most of the details of the upcoming Mammootty-starrer under wraps. It’s a trick that director Amal Neerad has consistently employed to reap huge benefits too, with the audience going in to watch the movie with fewer expectations.

Bheeshma Parvam, however, is already a hugely anticipated movie as it is the Big B duo’s collaboration after 15 years. Shine Tom Chacko, who worked for the first time with Amal in the project, recently revealed a bit about his character in the movie.

In a recent interview, the actor said that he and Farhaan Faasil play brothers in the film. Shine plays Peter in the gangster thriller while Farhaan essays the role of Paul. They are the sons of the elder brother of Mammootty’s character Michael.

Last year, Shine told OTTplay that the movie is set in the 1980s and is a gangster thriller revolving around the family of Michael. The film has a huge star cast featuring Soubin Shahir, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Nadiya Moidu, Veena Nandakumar, Sreenath Bhasi, Sudev Nair, Nisthar Sait, Nedumudi Venu, Jinu Joseph, Dileesh Pothan and Ramzan.

Scripted by Amal and Devadutt Shaji, the movie revolves around a former gangster who is forced to return to his old ways after his relatives are threatened by old foes. Bheeshma Parvam, which marks Mammootty’s first theatrical release this year, is also said to be his biggest, with the movie expected to be screened in over 1600 theatres across the world.

The film’s overseas rights were recently bought at a record price by a Doha-based company. Bheeshma Parvam is currently scheduled to hit theatres on March 3 along with Tovino Thomas’ Naaradhan. Outside Kerala, the film will also clash with Dulquer Salmaan’s Tamil romcom Hey Sinamika, which will also be releasing on the same day.
