Shiv Thakare reacts to his linkup rumours with Akanksha Puri: I am a very traditional guy…

After Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shiv Thakare has been linked to Akanksha Puri. He has finally reacted to the rumours. Shiv said that he is a very traditional guy and thus, it will take him long to get into any kind of relationship.

Shiv spoke to Times of India and revealed that he did meet Akanksha at a party through a common friend but that was long ago. He called her a nice girl and said that if he was interested in dating anyone, he would’ve done so in the Bigg Boss 16 house itself.

Akanksha had participated on Mika Singh's wedding show, Mika Di Vohti. Eventually though, they did not get married. The two continue to remain friends.

“I am such a traditional guy that if I were to date someone, I would take a few months and then think of moving ahead. So I have no plans to date anyone. In fact there is still a long time for me to get into a relationship,” he said.

Shiv said that he is focused on his work and career currently. He became the runner-up on Bigg Boss 16 and is now gearing to appear on Rohit Shetty’s show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.

The actor was confirmed for the reality show recently. Shiv had the opportunity to be a part of the show when Rohit held auditions in Bigg Boss 16. However, back then, Shalin Bhanot bagged the offer. The actor declined it and now has the TV show Bekaboo. Ekta offered the actor the show on the day of the grand finale. Meanwhile, Rohit asked Shalin to consider the offer and then moved on to the other contestants.

Shiv Thakare had expressed his desire to be a big screen actor during his Bigg Boss 16 stint. He had won Bigg Boss Marathi 2 and was standing besides MC Stand and Salman Khan at Bigg Boss 16 grand finale. Stan eventually won the trophy but Shiv continued to win hearts.
