Bigg Boss 16 saw a new angle to the show. While there have been many love stories, this season, Salman Khan’s show saw friends like family. Archana Gautam named them mandali and they became the soul of the show.
Shiv Thakare, who played an important part of the mandali, said that the group hasn’t broken yet, at least not from his side. Shiv did accept that MC Stan and Abdu Rozik are a little distant but that hasn’t affected his friendship with either of them.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Shiv revealed that winner Stan does not really catch up with him but he doesn’t care because when he misses his rapper friend, Shiv goes to his home and is always greeted well by both Stan and his ammi. “Mujhe lena dena hai ki agar mujhe yaad aati hai toh main ghar pe jata hoon, bell bajata hoon usse milta hoon, ammi se milta hoon, ammi mere liye kuch banati hai, sabse milta hoon aur nikal jata hoon,” he recalled.
Meanwhile, Abdu has shifted back to Dubai and thus, they haven’t met as often. However, Shiv reveals that the little one would ensure to give him a call whenever in Mumbai.
Although Stan and Abdu have their differences, the rest of the mandali members, whether Sajid Khan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia or Sumbul Touqeer Khan, still catch up with one another. In fact, he revealed that Stan talks to either Sajid or Nimrit for an hour and a half every single day.
The only difference, Shiv explains, is that nobody is there to capture what the mandali does. He also shares that the mandali does not particularly enjoy indulging in social media always and thus, they do catch up but don’t post it online all the time.
