Shiva Kandukuri on Devika & Danny's OTT success: Grateful for all the love

Devika & Danny is the debut OTT series of Mazaka and Pelli Choopulu fame Ritu Varma, and it is now available for streaming on Jio Hotstar. The family drama, directed by Kishore B of Sreekaram fame, has had a decent start on OTT.

Ritu Varma is receiving good applause for her digital debut, but it is Shiva Kandukuri who has surprised everyone with his performance. So far, Shiva has taken on mostly subtle roles in his career. His last film, Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana, was a thriller, but with Devika & Danny, he plays a fun role that has impressed many. 

Shiva enters the series midway and steals the show with his performance. His strong support for Ritu Varma’s character and his endearing screen presence are being widely appreciated.

Devika & Danny has a mythological backdrop, seamlessly woven into the narrative. The story revolves around a woman named Devika, who gets engaged but then falls in love with a spirit. How events unfold and the mystery behind the spirit form the crux of the show. 

Ritu Varma appears in a very natural look, and her performance is one of the show’s highlights. All her scenes with Shiva Kandukuri are particularly well-received.
