Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar who had been getting treatment for his illness, has now revealed that he is now cancer-free. The actor had been taking treatment at the Miami Cancer Institute in the US for gall bladder cancer and made the announcement on New Year day. Shiva Rajkumar's announcement sent happy waves among his fans who now expect to see their favourite star onscreen.
Actor Shiva Rajkumar, who is predominantly seen in Kannada films, took to social media on Wednesday, to announce that he had been undergoing treatment in the US, and is now cancer free. The actor was diagnosed with gall bladder cancer and was taking treatment in Miami Cancer Institute. In a heartfelt video, Shiva Rajkumar thanked all those who supported him in his journey to beat the disease and wished his fans a happy new year.
Admitting to how before the diagnosis, he was fearful but the immense support from near and dear ones including family, fans and medical staff, has helped him to fight cancer and come out victoriously. The actor was joined by his wife Geetha, who also thanked fans and family for their unwavering support. Shiva Rajkumar said that his kidney bladder was removed and replaced.
Meanwhile, Shiva Rajkumar was last seen in Kannada film Bhairathi Ranagal. The film is now available for streaming on Prime Video. The 2024 released film serves as a prequel to the 2017 film Mufti. Helmed by Narthan, the film also stars Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Devaraj, Chaya Singh, Madhu Guruswamy, Shabeer Kallarakkal and Babu Hirannaiah.
