PremiumShivarajkumar announces fourth home production; to star nephew Dheeren
The as-yet-untitled film by Geetha Pictures, which will have Dheeren in the lead, will be directed by Sandeep Sunkad of Shakhahaari fame

Century Star Shivarajkumar’s home banner Geetha Pictures is set to bankroll not one but 2 films together. After announcing their third venture A for Anand, a children’s film based on the Japanese bestseller Totto Chan: The Girl At the Window, in which Shivarajkumar will play a pivotal role, the banner revealed today that another film is also in the works.
Geetha Pictures, which was launched with the Shivarajkumar-starrer Vedha, and followed up by the Mufti prequel Bhairathi Ranagal is set to produce a film with the actor’s nephew Dheeren Ramkumar in the lead. This will be the first venture that Shivarajkumar will not be a part of onscreen. The actor has a cameo even in his daughter’s production Firefly.
What’s interesting about Production #4 is that it is being helmed by Sandeep Sunkad, the writer-filmmaker who grabbed attention with the thriller Shakhahaari earlier this year. “It’s an honour to associate with a prestigious banner like Geetha Pictures so early in my career. Every director dreams of having a production house that supports their vision, and I am immensely grateful for this opportunity,” the filmmaker said in an official statement, adding that both Shivarajkumar and his wife Geetha loved the script.
While details about the genre or when the film will go on floors etc., have not been revealed, Dheeren, in a statement added that he’s confident that audiences will be pleasantly surprised by their collaboration. “I waited for the right script that would challenge me as an actor and highlight my potential. Your second film is where your mettle as a performer truly comes through, and I wanted to prepare myself for that moment. When Sandeep sir narrated the story, it struck a chord instantly,” he added.
Incidentally, Dheeren, who debuted with the action drama Shiva 143 in 2022, which did not work at the box office, had announced that he was being re-introduced by KRG Studios. He’d even changed his stage name to Dheeren R Rajkumar for the purpose. But since then, there’d been no development on that front.
