Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli feels shocked to know about the death of actor Ray Stevenson.

Today morning, Hollywood actor Ray Stevenson passed away at the age of 58 in Italy. The news development has been confirmed by his spokesperson, which has left many people in the industry saddened.
The exact cause of the death is not yet known.
Feeling shocked to know about the news, filmmaker SS Rajamouli expressed grief on demise of the actor.
Taking to Twitter, Rajamouli wrote, “Shocking... Just can't believe this news. Ray brought so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.”
Not many are aware, but Stevenson played a great role in the Indian award-winning film RRR. The Irish actor played the evil and authoritarian governor of Delhi in SS Rajamouli's RRR.
The actor was best known for his iconic characters in Marvel films. As Frank Castle/ The Punisher from the films ‘Punisher: War Zone’ and ‘The Super Hero Squad Show’; and as Volstagg in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (2011–2017), he won the hearts of several people in the industry.
Today morning, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in a press statement expressed their condolences to the near and dear ones of the actor. It read, “Marvel extends our condolences to Stevenson’s family, friends, and fans all over the world.”
Stevenson was born in Northern Ireland on May 25, 1964, and began his career with appearances on European TV before transitioning to films in the 2000s, with roles in such films as The Divergent series, King Arthur, The Other Guys, and most recently the Oscar-winning RRR. His television credits include Rome, Dexter, and Black Sails, as per the statement.
The Irish actor will last be seen on screen in the upcoming series Ahsoka.
