Ramesh Sippy confirmed the news to Pinkvilla on video and shared, "We had shot that as the original ending, but it had to be re-shot because it did not make it past the censors. It was the Emergency period, so we could not show a police inspector taking his revenge by killing the enemy. But now with its theatrical release on November 24, we will screen that."
