The makers of the Hindi remake of Drishyam 2 gets the green light to begin shooting. The shoot is reportedly to begin in December after Ajay Devgn wraps up his current projects.
Earlier this year in May, Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak of Panorama Studio International had confirmed that he has acquired the rights for the Hindi remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam 2 – The Resumption. He had issued a statement saying, “With the huge success of Drishyam 2, the story needs to be told with passion and commitment and we as Producers are committed to that.”
Now that it's official that the makers can go ahead with the sequel, Ajay Devgn will be seen reprising his role as Vijay Salgaonkar alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta.
Meanwhile, Malayalam film Drishyam 2 had released earlier this year directly on Amazon Prime Video owing to the pandemic situation. The film received great reviews from fans and critics alike. Written and directed by Jithu Joseph, Mohanlal reprised his role as Georgekutty in the sequel. The film also starred Meena, Anjali Nair, Esther Anil and Siddique, among others.
