The shoot for the film that stars Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami and Aditi Rao Hydari, began in Mumbai today

The shoot for Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's next outing Gandhi Talks has begun. The shoot kicked off in Mumbai and VSP is expected to join the sets soon. The film is directed by Kishor Pandurang Belekar, who is known for helming the Marathi films Sa Sasucha and Yeda.
The star cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami and Aditi Rao Hydari. The silent film is billed as a dark satire comedy. Music is by AR Rahman. Gandhi Talks is said to be social commentary on racism, capitalism and issues plaguing the society. The film's director has stated that they aim to bring a positive change with the content and that they would let the silence do the talking in the film. The film will release in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and Hindi.
Gandhi Talks is banrolled by Zee Studios. The production house shared the news on its social media handle, "Silence speaks louder than words so does money in today’s time! Gear up for #GandhiTalks, as the shoot for this silent dark comedy, commences today! 🎬🙌🏻@VijaySethuOffl @thearvindswami @aditiraohydari @kishorbelekar #Kyoorius #ShootBegins (sic)." The production house had also stated that it was an attempt towards something great.
In the meantime, Vijay Sethupathi is basking in the success of his recent release Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, in which he teamed up with Nayanthara and Samantha. The film was directed by Vignesh Shivan and had music by Anirudh Ravichander.
He is also awaiting the release of Vikram in which he teams up with Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil. The film, which has an ensemble cast, is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vikram will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi on June 3. Anirudh has scored the music for this action entertainer as well. Cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj. The film will release in and will be out simultaneously on June 3.
