After Kuttymama and Udal, Durga Krishna and Dhyan Sreenivasan have paired up once again for a project. Titled Iyer Kanda Dubai, the film is directed by MA Nishad and is touted to be a fun entertainer.

Durga recently shared the news about the wrap-up of the film in Dubai on her social media page.

For the uninitiated, the name of the film was unveiled in January, and the title launch event was attended by several notable film personalities.

Iyer Kanda Dubai sees the coming together of actors Mukesh and Urvasi after quite a long gap. The two were last seen sharing screen space in Jean Paul Lal’s Tsunami, which failed to impress at the box office.

Shine Tom Chacko also plays a pivotal role in Iyer Kanda Dubai, along with Jaffer Idukki.

Nishad, who has helmed movies like Thelivu and the critically acclaimed Kinar, is a familiar face on news channel debates. His last movie, Thelivu, a crime drama, received critical acclaim despite its bad run at theatres. The filmmaker was also vocal about the use of drugs in the film industry and had urged actor Tini Tom to disclose the names of actors involved in drug abuse. This followed Tini's expressing his concerns about the widespread drug abuse in the Malayalam industry.

Meanwhile, Dhyan and Durga have other big projects in their kitty. Durga has finished dubbing for her next, Olavum Theeravum, which is Priyadarshan's segment in the Netflix anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s short stories, with Mohanlal in the lead role. Durga will also be seen in Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal's Ram, which is touted to be a pan-Indian action film.

Dhyan, on the other hand, has completed the shooting of Super Zindagi, which will hit theatres soon. Rumours are that Dhyan will star alongside Nivin Pauly and Pranav Mohanlal in a film helmed by Vineeth Sreenivasan.
