The shoot for Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's upcoming project Sabari has been wrapped up. The team announced the same on social media yesterday and revealed that the post production for the film has begun. Sabari is said to be a psychological thriller and is directed by Anil Katz. The star cast includes Ganesh Venkatram, Shashank and Mime Gopi. Varalaxmi's character is said to be one with shades of grey and the film is also said to be a relationship drama.

Ganesh Venkatram plays her husband. Speaking to OTTplay earlier, Ganesh had said, "Varalaxmi and I play husband and wife in the film, which is also a relationship drama involving a child. It might sound cliché, but this is a subject I haven't explored before. The portions were canned at a rapid pace and it was exciting working with the team."

Sabari, which was earlier billed as a bilingual, will now release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi as well. While Gopi Sundar is composing music, Nani Chamidishetty is handling the cinematography, Dharmendra Kakarala is in charge of the editing and Asish Teja Pulala is handling the art direction. The actress has now begun dubbing for the film

Varalaxmi recently celebrated 10 years in the film industry. The Yashoda star had written in the note, "10 years today, #podaapodi released... 10 years later #yashoda releases! Was it it an easy journey..? NO. Was it everything you hoped for..? NO. Was it worth it..? YES. 10 years of hard work, discipline, rejection, depression, feeling that nothing is ever going to go your way... but then, now when I look back 45 films later, I say thank you... for every rejection that made me wanna work harder... made me stronger, made me wanna prove every person wrong..!! (sic)."

She also added that after 45 films, she is exactly where she wanted to be. "45 movies later I'm exactly where I wanna be...doing exactly what I wanna do...and being respected for my choices...respected for my work...and most importantly respected for who I am...!! (sic). Varalaxmi will also be seen in Colors and Lagaam to name a few.
