Shraddha Kapoor walks out of Ektaa Kapoor's film due to payment issues | Report

Shraddha Kapoor, who was last seen in the blockbuster Stree 2, was reportedly in talks for an Ektaa Kapoor film. However, the recent report suggests that the actress has walked out of the film, and the reason could be the payment issues. As per the report, Shraddha's payment demand seemed a bit too much for Ektaa.

According to PeepingMoon, Shraddha Kapoor stepped away from Ektaa’s upcoming flick due to a payment dispute. The report claimed that Ektaa felt that Shraddha's price tag was too high, especially for a women-centric film. The popular producer feared that it could blow the entire budget. Now the producers are searching for a new leading lady. Meanwhile, this upcoming film will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame.

Shraddha Kapoor's work front

Shraddha Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with Teen Patti in 2010. She also appeared in a leading role in Luv Ka The End. The actress is popularly known for her role in the Stree movie. Like the first, the second instalment, Stree 2, also became a blockbuster film. The film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Stree 2 also had cameos of Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan (as Bhediya), and Tamannaah Bhatia. 

Meanwhile, Stree 2 continues the supernatural horror-comedy narrative, which has been picking up since the first film. The sequel introduces a new horror avatar, Sarkata, a headless spirit, and the townspeople of Chanderi must unite with the wife (now revealed to be the wife's daughter) to face the new demon. This film explores the connection between the Stree and Bhedia universes, where characters from both appear in each other's stories.

Also, there is talk of Shraddha Kapoor's possible participation in Sanam Teri Kasam 2. Although there is no official confirmation, the directors have discussed and even mentioned the idea.
