Zanai Bhosle, the granddaughter of legendary singer Asha Bhosle , is all set to make her acting debut. Filmmaker Sandeep Singh is preparing to cast Zanai. He recently stated that he will be directing his first theatrical feature, The Pride of Bharat — Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. She will be seen playing Rani Sai Bhonsale, Shivaji Maharaj's wife, in the movie.

Shraddha Kapoor welcomed her cousin to the film industry on Monday by posting a message on her Instagram stories. Shraddha shared a picture with Zanai and wished her the best. “Meri behen filmon mein aane vaali hai hum sabko entertain karne.” Shraddha further added, “All the best toh banta hai.” Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar's first cousin was Pandit Pandharinath Kolhapure, the maternal grandfather of Shraddha Kapoor.

Here are three things to know about Zanai...

Sara Tendulkar and Zanai Bhosle are best friends

Yes, ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara is best friends with Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle. In addition to being best friends, Sara Tendulkar and Zanai Bhonsle are also gym pals who routinely work out together in the city. The friendship between Sara Tendulkar and Zanai Bhonsle is hardly surprising. Asha Bhonsle and Sachin Tendulkar have a history of mutual respect and have even been to each other's houses on a few occasions.

An emerging professional singer and dancer

Born on January 16, 2002, Zanai Bhosle is a rising star in the Indian music scene. She sang the songs Bappa Morya and Salami Ho Jaye in 2014. She reportedly also works with India’s first transgender music band called 6 Pack. She contributed her voice for the remix of "Hila Pori Hila," a song by Usha Mangeshkar, released by Yash Raj Films. The song was performed by the band 6 Pack, which included 25 underprivileged children from the Salaam Bombay Foundation in Mumbai. Also, a follower of spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Zanai once sang a devotional song called Tera Hi Ehsaas Hai for his organisation. She participated in a dance show in Birmingham, England, in 2016. Zanai's voice is incredible, and she's about to make her Bollywood debut.

A budding entrepreneur

Following her grandmother Asha Bhosle’s footsteps, Zanai turned into an entrepreneur in 2017 with her own Apple authorised reseller store – iAzure at Mumbai’s Hill Road. Speaking at the launch event, Zanai, an enthusiastic Apple user, had said, “I am overwhelmed, speechless that we own it now. I personally love Apple and that’s about it. Apple is the future.” When asked how the idea of starting her own store came about, Zanai mentioned, "My grandma (Asha Bhosle) uses Apple as much as I do. Hence when I suggested that we should tie up with the technology of the future, she was equally keen."
