Shruti Das to join Neeraj Pandey’s Khakee: The Bengal Chapter

Neeraj Pandey’s Khakee: The Bihar Chapter was dropped on Netflix in 2022 and it was a hit. Now the director is all set to start working on the second season, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. It has already been reported that Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Parambrata Chatterjee, and Saswata Chatterjee will be there in the series. Now, as per reports, Shruti Das may also join the team. There is a probability that Solanki Roy will be there as well. 

Shruti Das, who lives in Mumbai and Kolkata, is a regular face on national projects. After working in Mumbai, the actress debuted in the Bengali film industry with Srijit Mukherji’s X=Prem. Later, she also impressed the audience and critics with her performance in Debaloy Bhattacharya’s Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole with Abir Chatterjee and Paran Bandyopadhyay. She worked in the SonyLiv series, Dr. Arora. If reports are to be believed, the actress will now be seen in Neeraj Pandey’s Netflix series. However, there has been no confirmation from the team. 

Meanwhile, Shruti has joined Paoli in Aritra Sen’s political thriller, Julie – a web series for Addatimes. The series also has Kaushik Sen, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, and others. 

According to sources, Neeraj Pandey’s Khakee will be shot in Bengal in July and August. However, a source close to the unit said that the possibility of the show getting dropped in 2025 is high. Jeet and Saswata have already shot for the series in Mumbai.
