Indian actress Shruti Haasan took a dig at media publications for targeting her sobriety journey in various news articles. The prominent Tamil actress shared her opinion on X with a befitting reply and also gave insightful advice.

The dominant actress of Tamil and Telugu cinema, Shruti Haasan is furious at various news articles for tweaking her words to disgrace the actress. Haasan expressed her gratitude for her blessed life and also clapped back at the agencies for aiming at the sensitive topic.

Taking a bold stand on her X (formerly Twitter) account, the 37-year-old actress criticized those who used her ‘sobriety journey’ for clickbait purposes and firmly said that it is not working.

“Trying to shame me with your articles, talking about my sobriety isn’t working. Guess what, God is kind, my life is good,” the Yevadu actress said.

The actress, who is currently gearing up for her highly anticipated film, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, was also vocal about the negative publicity she aimed after the interview byte.

“No amount of negative bullsh**, before every release will change that,” she added.

What happened?

For the unversed, Shruti Haasan spoke about her alcohol addiction and how she has been going strong on the path of sobriety for the past 8 years. The singer-actor had revealed that although she wasn’t into drugs, however, drinking was a big part of her life.

During an interview session in Untriggered with Aminjaz, she said, “I have zero regrets, zero hangovers, and it’s just been the best to be sober for me. It might be a phase, or you might like doing it for the rest of your life, that’s chill.”

She also joked about tolerating people in sober mode, “I’ve been sober for eight years now. So, it’s hard to tolerate people in party situations when you’re not drinking,” she added.

Reflecting on her blessings, she concluded the post with, “Try and find your blessings too.’

The post quickly stirred the internet with many fans asking about the context and the articles she mentioned. One X user said, “Can anyone share the article?”

While many fans extended their unwavering support to the Monster Machine singer. One user commented, “No matter what, just sending positive energy to u.”

Shruti Haasan had a promising year with Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya in her kitty. She will next be seen in Prashanth Neel’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire alongside Prabhas. The movie is slated for a theatre release on December 22.
