Shruti Haasan pays special tribute to parents Kamal Haasan, Sarika

Actor-singer Shruti Haasan on Sunday paid a special tribute to her parents Kamal Haasan and Sarika by sharing a video on her Instagram page. The video is, in a way, an expression of her self-love, suggesting that she has inherited the best features of her extremely good-looking parents. "love my mommy and daddy They both so magical and special lucky me," she captioned the video.

Although we don't know the reason behind Shruti's latest post, it is a beautiful reminder that we don't need a specific occasion to show appreciation and gratitude towards our parents for everything they have done and continue to do for us.

The story of Kamal Haasan and Sarika

Kamal Haasan and Sarika were married in 1988 after a few years of courtship, filled with volatile and dramatic moments. The couple first met on the sets of the 1984 film Raaj Tilak, and their on-screen chemistry soon blossomed into a real-life romance. Before marrying Sarika, Kamal divorced his first wife Vani Ganapathy in the early 1980s.

Kamal and Sarika were in a live-in relationship for years before they entered the wedlock. While it may seem like a normal thing in today's context, back in the time, it was unconventional and not perceived kindly by society. The couple had two children, first Shruti and second Akshara, before getting married.

It's worth noting that Shruti was about five years old when Kamal and Sarika got married. And Shruti was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be a witness to her parents' wedding.

However, after 16 years of marriage, Kamal and Sarika parted ways legally in 2004. The reason behind their separations remains private and the former couple have refrained from making inflammatory comments against one another in the aftermath of their divorce.

Shruti Haasan's career

On the career front, Shruti was last seen in last year's blockbuster Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. In the film, she played the female lead opposite Telugu superstar Prabhas. Besides film, she is also now busy producing her independent music albums in India.
