Shruti Haasan unapologetically confesses to nose job: I don't feel the need to justify why I want to look a certain way

Shruti Haasan has put an end to any rumours regarding her getting her nose job done. She has confirmed that she opted for surgery. In an interview with Times of India, the Gabbar Is Back actress said, “I did get my nose fixed and it was very obvious. My nose was broken and quite different from before and I did my first film with my old nose.”

Stating so, Shruti also shared that she actually had deviated septum. The actress unabashedly also added that if she could make her face prettier, why not? She refused to justify why she wanted to look a certain way and took actions for looking that way.

When asked if she had gotten fillers, the actress confirmed it. When further probed on whether she will also get a face lift in the future, the actress did not deny it but rather asserted that she had not decided at the time.

By openly stating that tomorrow if she desired to facelift she would, the 36-year-old actress has acknowledged how rare this mentality occurs in the industry. The actress recalls receiving countless remarks on her appearance. These remarks vary from her not looking enough like a ‘heroine’ to not looking ‘Indian enough’.

Already established as an actress who never shies away from expressing her opinions regarding the industry, Shruti demonstrates that in an industry that is immersed in so much judgement and self-doubt, it is important to remember that our body and choices are our own to dictate and make peace with.

As for her upcoming projects, the Ramaiya Vastavaiya actress will next be seen in projects such as Salaar and Mega 124.
