Streaming platform Chaupal is all set for the OTT premiere of Neeru Bajwa's family drama film titled Shukrana. The poignant film released theatrically on September 27. The makers have finally found an OTT home for the film. Shukrana will premiere on Chaupal on January 9, 2025. Featuring a star-studded ensemble cast with Amrit Maan, Jass Bajwa, Simran Chahal and others, this Punjabi film brings an emotionally charged narrative with a strong female lead. Apart from Chaupal, you will also be able to stream it on OTTplay Premium.

Shukrana movie cast, plot and trailer

Helmed by  Simerjit Singh and written by Jagdeep Warring, Shukrana is Neeru Bajwa's new Punjabi film in which she essays a strong character and headlines the film with her charismatic acting chops. Set in a village, the plot revolves around a sweet couple whose lives take a dark turn when the husband dies in a tragic event. What follows is the family's struggles, especially the widow, who faces difficulties with social stereotypes and prejudices against a single woman.

Neeru Bajwa leads the ensemble cast as an educated woman who fights against the odds. Amrit Maan, Jass Bajwa and Simran Chahal will also be seen in pivotal roles.  The movie also sheds light on the significance of trusting 'God's plans' and expressing gratitude in both the good and bad times of life's journey.
