The daughter of stars Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, acknowledged that she is not "financially independent" personally but desires for her kids to be self-sufficient. Shweta is married to businessman Nikhil Nanda, with whom she has a son named Agastya Nanda and a daughter named Navya Naveli Nanda.
Shweta stated in an interview with ETimes stating that she is not economically independent adding that she is not really a "very ambitious person." She argued, though, that she didn't desire the same for her kids, specifically Navya.
According to her, the "one requirement" she has for each of her children is that they never, ever consider starting a family if they do not have sufficient income in their account to cover their rent. She continued, “I would like my daughter especially to have financial security and I think it will give her tremendous confidence if it’s something she’s done on her own rather than using her father’s money.”
While Shweta and her mother Jaya Bachchan recently made an appearance on the inaugural edition of Navya's podcast, What the Hell Navya, Navya is an entrepreneur. The three discussed what it is like to live in the spotlight and how they feel comfortable showcasing their distinctive dynamic to the world in the episode, which was uploaded on Saturday. Agastya will soon make his debut appearance in Zoya Akhtar's forthcoming movie The Archies, which also stars Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of the late Sridevi and Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan.
