Actor Nani has never sounded more confident about a project in the recent times than he is about Shyam Singha Roy. The multi-generational romantic drama starring Nani, Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Krithi Shetty in lead roles is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainments. The film is set to hit theatres is as many as four languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam - on December 24. After releasing the first song, Rise of Shyam, the makers unveiled the teaser of the film across all languages at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad on Thursday.

The teaser starts off with a community of women based in Kolkata being ill treated in the society and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel, until a beacon of hope emerges in the form of Shyam Singha Roy. The title character is a journalist who's engrossed in his work but wouldn't mind teaching the wrong doers a lesson if the need arises. The character, speaking Bengali, is even seen warning people to not harm women and behave cheaply or they would have to face dire consequences later. The glimpse ends with Nani having an intimate moment with the leading ladies Sai Pallavi, Krithi across timelines.

Nani as Shyam Singha Roy looks extremely promising and he seems to have made an honest effort to talk Bengali, understand the ethos of the region. Rahul Ravindran too appears briefly in the promo and springs a surprise as a Bengali speaking man. Sai Pallavi is as intense as she can get and it's the second time she's playing a character based in Kolkata after Padi Padi Leche Manasu. Krithi Shetty only appears for a small portion in the teaser, while having her moment with her on-screen love interest Nani.

The film has music by Mickey J Meyer. Janga Satyadev has penned the story while Sanu John Varghese has cranked the camera for the same. Shyam Singha Roy is edited by Navin Nooli. Nani plays a dual role in the characters of Shyam Singha Roy and Vasu in the film extensively shot across Hyderabad and Kolkata. Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma, Abhinav Gomatam essay supporting roles.
