Reportedly actor Nani's biggest film in his career with over a Rs 60 crore budget, Shyam Singha Roy is getting ready for a grand theatrical release on December 24 in four languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The actor, who plays a dual role as Shyam Singha Roy and Vasu, teams up with Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty and Madonna Sebastian for the love story spanning multiple generations. The film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Venkat Boyapanpalli under Niharika Entertainments. The trailer of the film is set to release tomorrow, i.e. December 14.

"Let’s begin..Trailer Tomorrow..Christmas Maathram …… :) #ShyamSinghaRoy #SSRonDEC24th," actor Nani shared on his Twitter handle earlier today. The announcement also came with a new poster from the film where Nani in a bespectacled, geeky avatar, wearing a dhoti, is seen alongside Sai Pallavi, dressed in a typical Bengali attire. Both the actors are smiling in a sequence set amid an old-styled Bengali household filled with several books in the frame. It's hard not to be excited noticing the on-screen chemistry between Nani and Sai Pallavi.

Rahul Ravindran, Abhinav Gomatam, Murali Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta and others essay crucial roles in this multi-generational romance that's been shot across various locales in West Bengal and Hyderabad. The film, that's expected to be high on VFX, completed its shoot earlier this year and three songs from the album - Rise of Shyam, Siri Vennela, Edo Edo - have already been released. Mickey J Meyer is composing the music score for the same. The teaser of the film was unveiled a few weeks ago.

Earlier, the film was to clash with Varun Tej's boxing drama, Ghani, but the makers of the latter chose to postpone the release to 2022. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights.
