Siddhant Chaturvedi on Bunty Aur Babli 2: I felt very liberated while acting with prosthetics

Bunty Aur Babli is a film franchise known for bringing forth various looks through the use of prosthetics. And, it has done the same with the newest Bunty and Babli in town, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvary Wagh. Siddhant, while talking about the process in the newest video released by the makers, said that it felt very liberating to him.

The Gully Boy famed actor, who has also been a part of the Amazon Prime Original web series Inside Edge, was seen in two different looks - one as a partially bald man and the other as a funky young boy. While the video shows what went into the making of the character, Siddhant is heard saying, “I thought my performance would get limited because I wouldn’t be able to express freely. However, a new type of character came forth, thanks to the prosthetics.”

The clip also takes us through Sharvary’s different looks. She had to sit with glue covering her face for two-three hours straight. The actress talks about her troubles during the process.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 is the second instalment of the hit franchise. The original film starred Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. While Rani is still a part of the second part, Saif Ali Khan has stepped into Abhishek Bachchan’s shoes for the film. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan, who made cameo appearances in the original film, aren’t likely to be seen in the upcoming movie either.

Rani and Saif would play the original Bunty Aur Babli as they face-off against the new Bunty Aur Babli in town, Siddhant and Sharvary. The YRF produced film is finally up for a theatrical release. It will be available for viewing in theatres from November 19, 2021.

However, the makers are yet to announce which OTT platform will Bunty Aur Babli 2 release on and when.
