The film, directed by Gautham Menon, will have Silambarasan TR playing the lead

Siddhi Idnani, who is all set to make her debut in the Tamil film industry with Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, has completed dubbing for her portions in the film. The actress thanked the director for believing in her and letting her dub for her portions. She also called the opportunity, a dream come true.
The actress shared a picture of herself with director Gautham Menon and captioned it, "Andddd that’s a wrap for Paavai’s dubbing🤍 Thank you @menongautham sir for believing in me and letting me DUB for myself. Dreams do come true… still can’t believe I am a GVM Heroine! 🧿♥️🤍 #VendhuThanindhathuKaadu (sic)."
Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is an action drama, written by B Jeyamohan. The film's title is named after a popular line from one of Subramania Bharati's poems. Silambarasan is said to be seen in a never-before-avatar in the film and the actor has shed some kilos for his role in it. The plot will track his journey from teenage to adulthood. Radikaa Sarathkumar will be playing Silambarasan's mother in the film. The supporting cast includes Siddique, Neeraj Madhav and Aangelina Abraham.
Music for the film is by AR Rahman. This is the third collaboration between Menon and Rahman after Vinnaithaandhi Varuvaya and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. Cinematography is by Siddhartha Nuni and editing is by Anthony. The film is bankrolled by Ishari Ganesh of Vels Film International. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is all set to hit screens on September 15. While the film will be distributed by Udhayandhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, the digital rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video.
Siddhi Idnani has earlier worked in Telugu movies like Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Prema Katha Chithram 2, and Anukunnadi Okati Ayinadi Okati. She is also part of Harish Kalyan's Nooru Kodi Vaanavil, which will mark her second film in Tamil.
