Sidharth Malhotra started his acting career in the year 2012 with his debut film, Student Of The Year. While we all know that the actor was a hit among the audience since his first movie, did you know that his first pay cheque was not from a film but from an ad shoot? Recently, the actor discussed his struggling days before getting the big break, where he also revealed that his first pay cheque was around Rs 2500 to Rs 3000.

Sidharth was recently in conversation at News18's Rising Bharat Summit, where he revealed that he was encouraged to make a career in acting by an agency. Recalling those days, the Yodha actor said, "Us safar me kaafi suffering this. Utna bhi aasan nahi tha. Main 20-21 saal ka tha jab maine Delhi ke ek agency ke kehnepar audition diya. Unhone meri ek tasveer dekhi thi newspaper mein jab fashion shows me walk karte the. (In that journey, there was quite a bit of suffering. It wasn't that easy. I was 20-21 years old when I auditioned for an agency in Delhi at someone's suggestion. They had seen my picture in the newspaper when I used to do fashion shows.)

What was Sidharth Malhotra's first salary?

The actor then revealed his first salary as he said, "Mera pehla add ek mobile phone ke liye tha. Samsung ka ek campaign chal raha tha us time par aur unhe ek ladka and ladki chahiye the. Vo mera pehle paycheck tha of some 2500-3000 rupees. Uss waqt humare waqt ki itni hi keemat thi." (My first advertisement was for a mobile phone. Samsung was running a campaign at that time, and they needed a boy and a girl. That was my first pay cheque of around 2500-3000 rupees. That was the value of our time back then.)

The Mission Majnu actor had quite a journey in Bollywood. As soon as he entered the acting world, he instantly became the heartthrob as women went gaga over him . With the choices of films he did and the versatility of roles he performed, Sidharth surely made a name for himself in the industry.

On the work front, the actor recently appeared in Karan Johar-backed film, Yodha. The narrative of the film revolves around a plane hijack. After its theatrical run, the film is expected to drop on Amazon Prime Video after around 2 months.
