Sidharth Malhotra’s Mission Majnu has a new release date, will now clash with Vicky Kaushal’s Govinda Mera Naam

Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna’s Mission Majnu will now release on a new date. The movie will now clash at the Box Office with Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani’s movie Govinda Mera Naam. Both the films are slated for June 10 release.

RSVP (Ronnie Screwvala Productions) made the grand announcement for Mission Majnu and revealed that the movie will release in theatres on June 10. The makers also confirmed the date on the official poster of the film featuring Sidharth.

Mission Majnu is the story of a RAW agent (played by Sidharth) who takes up a mission and infiltrates Pakistan for the same. The makers claim that the movie is inspired by true events but more details about the movie are yet to be out.

The movie also happens to mark Rashmika’s debut in Bollywood. Interestingly, she makes her debut two months before Vijay Deverakonda, who will be seen in Liger opposite Ananya Panday. The film is currently slated to release on August 25. Rashmika and Vijay’s pairing has been much-loved in the Telugu film industry (also known as Tollywood) and thus, them making their debut in the same year is quite exciting for their fans.

Another interesting thing to note is that Sidharth will be clashing with his ‘good friend’ and co-star of his last movie Shershaah, Kiara Advani. She plays the female lead in Govinda Mera Naam. The movie features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role and Bhumi Pednekar as the second female lead.

Govinda Mera Naam will also be Vicky’s first movie to release post his wedding with Katrina Kaif. To top it up, the movie promises lots of fun and entertainment and Vicky in a new, almost rowdy avatar.

The audiences sure have a lot to look forward to and at the same time a tough decision to make when it comes to which movie they would want to watch first on June 10. Both the movies are yet to announce their OTT release dates and platforms.
