The movie would go on floors six months after it was originally planned. Although it was supposed to begin filming already, the film would go on floors not before June, according to the portal. Sara Ali Khan's abrupt exit and Jabariya Jodi actor Sidharth Malhotra's commitment to Param Sundari are attributed to be some reasons for the delay.

The makers had shared a video in which they tagged Tamannaah Bhatia and welcomed her into the world of Vvan. With this, the female lead of the film was finally confirmed.
