Mollywood actor Sidhique will be seen playing a powerful villain in his upcoming Tamil movie, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, which is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and has Silambarasan in the lead.

The actor revealed the news of his casting in an interview with Can Channels recently, saying that the Kaakha Kaakha director had approached him to play the main antagonist in the movie after watching his performance in last year’s Sufiyum Sujatayum.

The movie, which is set in Mumbai, is based on the lives of street thugs and Sidhique plays a Malayali named Kunjukrishnan in the film, divulged the actor.

Sidhique has just wrapped up the first schedule of the movie in Chennai. The team had erected huge sets resembling the streets of Mumbai for the movie. He explained that his portions with Simbu will be shot only in the second schedule that is set to begin next month.
