The biggest news in Bollywood this week has been the release of Sikandar, the highly anticipated Salman Khan starrer that was expected to be the biggest blockbuster of 2025. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna and has been made on a massive budget, making it one of the most expensive Hindi films ever.
However, upon its release on March 30, 2025, Sikandar surprised everyone—not necessarily in a good way. About Sikandar
The film follows Sanjay Rajkot (Salman Khan), the King of Rajkot and a man who owns 25% of India’s gold. He lives to serve others, and his wife Saishri (Rashmika Mandanna) is his pillar of strength. She stands by him through every storm, ensuring his noble deeds remain uninterrupted.
However, when Sanjay confronts the spoiled son of a Mumbai politician, he unknowingly invites danger into his life. The politician (Sathyaraj) is determined to eliminate him—Sikandar, aka Raja Sahab. Amidst the chaos, Saishri meets a tragic end, and her organs are donated across Mumbai. Now, Sanjay must protect the recipients of her organs, as they become targets in this deadly conflict.
Featuring an ensemble cast, Sikandar stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Anjani Dhawan. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film was released on March 30, 2025.
