At an event in Chennai, actor Silambarasan shared his excitement about working alongside Kamal Haasan for the first time and reuniting with Mani Ratnam in Thug Life

The makers of Thug Life kickstarted the promotions of the film with the launch of the first single Jinguchaa, a wedding number which has set social media talking. Coming from director Mani Ratnam, who will be collaborating with Kamal Haasan after 38 years since the release of Nayakan, Thug Life also stars Silambarasan, Trisha, Ashok Selvan and others.
Speaking at the event that took place in Chennai, Silambarasan spoke about his experience of sharing the screen space with Kamal Haasan for the first time and reuniting with Mani Ratnam after Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
An event to release the first single, Jinguchaa, took place in Chennai on Friday. The film’s cast and crew, including director Mani Ratnam and actors Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan, Trisha and others, were in attendance.
Silambarasan, who has already worked with Mani Ratnam in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, and first time with Kamal Haasan said, “When we were shooting it was very tough to even perform for first few days. I have worked with Mani Ratnam sir in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. It was tough even then, but I started to learn how to work with him.
"But here it is, Mani sir as well as Kamal sir. In between, I will be standing, and when they are talking, you don't know what to do. I thank Kamal sir. As a child actor, I have seen his films growing up, and to act next to him is a great moment. He took care of me very well and has given me a place next to him, showing his magnanimity.”
