​It looks like Pradeep Ranganthan is basking in the appreciation pouring in for his latest release, Love Today. The latest we hear is that Silambarasan TR has sent a bunch of flowers to the actor congratulating Pradeep on the phenomenal success of the film. Taking to his social media handle, Pradeep shared the same on his social media handle. He shared a video of the bouquet sent by Silambarasan and captioned it, "Thankyou STR @SilambarasanTR_ this ❤️ Your support for me and #LoveToday meant a lot to me from the first phone call u made . Im really happy . Thankyou so much sir (sic)."

It was only recently that Superstar Rajinikanth himself had appreciated the actor. Pradeep shared a picture with Rajinikanth and stated that the Superstar not only hugged him but also wished him and that he can never forget his words. He wrote on his social media handle, "What more can I ask for ? It was like to be near a sun . So warm . The tight hug , those eyes , the laugh , the style and the love . What a personality . SUPERSTAR @rajinikanth saw #LoveToday and wished me Will never forget the words you said sir @archanakalpathi (sic)."

The romantic comedy drama, written and directed by Pradeep himself, has opened to positive reviews and has been raking in the moolah at the box office. The film also marks Pradeep's debut as an actor. The star cast includes Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Sathyaraj, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Yogi Babu to name a few. Music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Cinematography is by Dinesh Purushothaman and editing is by Pradeep E Ragav. The film has been bankrolled by AGS Productions and the title has been borrowed from Thalapathy Vijay's 1997 film of the same name. The old film had Suvalakshmi as the leading lady. Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the film. Pradeep had earlier helmed Jayam Ravi's Comali (2019), a comedy drama.​
