The much-awaited trailer from Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is finally out. The trailer was unveiled at a grand audio launch held in Chennai today. The trailer, which spans a little over two minutes, follows Muthu's (Silambarasan TR) journey from a small town to making it big. The plot also delves into the struggles he encounters during the journey. The film's story is an adaptation of a novel penned by writer B Jeyamohan.

Going by the trailer, Silambarasan seems to be a person hailing from a poor family who has to struggle to make ends meet. But he builds himself from scratch and goes on to become a big shot. The trailer gives a glimpse of his journey to success with voiceover by the film's director Gautham Vasudev Menon. The lines 'kill or be killed' and 'It's a mad dance' pretty sums up the journey. We also get a sneak peek of Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddhi Idnani and Neeraj Madhav's characters in the film. The trailer ends with a dapper Silambarasan saying the line in Hindi, "Tu bhaad main jaa'. Looks like fans of the actors can witness some heavy-duty high-octane stunt sequences in the film.

AR Rahman's music in the background complements the tone of the film. The songs were released in the presence of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. The tracklist for the film includes- Muthu's Journey (sung by AR Rahman), Marakkuma Nenjam (AR Rahman), Mallipoo (Madhushree), Unna Nenachadhum (Shreya Ghoshal and Sarthak Kalyani) and Kaalathukkum Nee Venum (Silambarasan TR and Rakshita Suresh). Cinematography for the film is by Siddhartha Nuni and editing is by Anthony. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, bankrolled by Vels International, is set to release in theatres on September 15.

This is Silambarasan's third feature film with Gautham Menon after Vinnaithaandi Varuaavaaya (2010) and Achcham Yenbachu Madamaiyada (2016). They also teamed up for a short titled Karthik Dial Seytha Yennn
