Actor Silambarasan aka Simbu seems to be completely blown over by Chithha, starring Siddharth in the lead. He took to his social media handles to endorse the movie and share his thoughts on what he described as a movie, which is "beyond hard-hitting." He also heaped praises on Siddharth and director S.U.Arun Kumar for effectively handling a sensitive subject in the movie.

"#Chiththa is beyond hard hitting! A very sensitive subject handled in the lightest way possible with much clarity! Hats off to the director @DirSUarunkumar Extremely proud of actor #Siddharth for choosing this script and producing it! Congrats to team #Chiththa," he wrote on X, which is formerly Twitter.

Chithha receives high-praise

Simbu is the latest star to throw his weight behind Chithha from the Tamil film industry. Earlier, legendary actor-director Kamal Haasan shared his review of the movie in a video message, vouching for the movie's ability to connect with the audience. "Chithha is a short form of chittappa, which means 'father's brother," Kamal said. "It's a unique story. I am not going to give any spoilers. It has an interesting premise."

A good movie always wins. And Chithha proves that old adage once again. Even though the movie was released without much fanfare and carried little to no hype, it has managed to capture the attention of movie-goers, thanks to strong word-of-mouth.

Besides the original Tamil version, Chithha has also been dubbed in multiple Indian languages, including Kannada and Telugu. The movie is growing from strength to strength at the box office. According to reports, the film has managed to earn about Rs 12 crore from its worldwide ticket sales. As the movie continues to garner glowing reviews from everyone, the filmmakers seem to be confident about this movie emerging as a dark horse at the box office.
