The veteran actor-director is back in the country after his medical treatment

Veteran actor-director- producer T Rajendher has returned to India after his medical treatment in the US. On his arrival, the actor was greeted by the media and fans at the Chennai airport. The actor stated that he was hale and hearty and that he was feeling better after the treatment. When the media questioned him about the rumours about his elder son, popular actor Silambarasan's wedding, TR said that Simbu's wedding is now in the hands of almighty. He added that he was praying to god of all religions and that he hopes that gods answer his prayers soon. He said that he was hoping that a good woman marries Simbu, who would also be a good daughter-in-law.
Talking about Silambarasan's latest release, Maha, in which he has done an extended cameo, T Rajendher said that a film in which his son had acted has released and urged everyone to watch it. Silambarasan had gone to the US to make the arrangements for his father's medical treatment.
The actor had earlier shared a statement that revealed that doctors had detected bleeding in his father's stomach and had advised the family to undergo advanced treament. Silambarasan had then stated that he was confident that his father would bounce back from the illness and had thanked everyone for their well and prayers for his father's speedy recovery.
He had recently returned to India to resume shoot for his long-delayed film, Pathu Thala, which is a remake of the Kannada film, Mufti. Mufti is a neo-noir action thriller, directed by debutant Narthan. The star cast comprises Shiva Rajkumar, Srimurali and Shanvi Srivasatava. The plot of the film revolves around a police officer, who takes on a don essayed by Shivanna. Silambarasan wil share screen space with Gautham Karthik in the film. This will be the first time that they will be teaming up for a film.
