Kannada actors Vasishta N Simha and Hariprriya sealed their love this morning, as they got married in the presence of close friends and family at the Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama in Mysuru. The nuptials happened between the auspicious muhurtha of 9.50 am and 10.40 am. Given the intimate nature of the wedding, the couple is set to host a lavish reception for friends from the industry on January 28 in Bengaluru.

Hariprriya and Vasishta, who have adopted the moniker Simhapriya, went from announcing their relationship to getting married in less than two months. News of the duo being a couple sprang up in early November, when eagle-eyed netizens spotted Vasishta in a video of Hariprriya getting her nose pierced in a traditional ceremony. After weeks of neither confirming or denying their relationship, despite pictures of them walking hand-in-hand at the Bengaluru airport, the duo finally set the record straight in early December, after they got engaged.

It was initially speculated that the two actors met and fell in love with each other on the set of their film Yada Yada Hi, which is the official Kannada remake of the Telugu movie Evaru. However, at a media briefing to talk about their Republic Day nuptials, the two admitted that they’d been seeing each other for a while, having started off as good friends and support systems for each other.

On the work front, Vasishta has been working on a Kannada film called Love Li and has just been announced as the lead of a Tamil film called Wolf. Hariprriya has been on a self-imposed break over the last several months and has not clarified when she will return to work. Her ongoing project with Upendra, Lagaam, is currently on hold, and there is no update on when Bell Bottom 2 will go on floors, considering that leading man Rishab Shetty is busy with the scripting of his next, Kantara 2.
