Karthik Raju, Ayraa and Arvind Krishna too play important roles in the film written and directed by Mahesh Reddy

Simran Choudhary, who impressed one and all with her appearance in the romantic comedy Sehari this year, will be seen in an equally contrasting role in her next, Atharva. The film, to release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages, is a crime thriller. In the film written and directed by Mahesh Reddy, she is paired alongside Karthik Raju. Ayraa, Arvind Krishna, Kabir Singh Duhan, Kalpika Ganesh too play important roles in the project.
The multi-lingual film was in the news recently for the first look poster of its male lead Karthik Raju, cast as a Clues team officer. Today, the makers unveiled the first look of his female counterpart Simran. In the poster, the actress, in the role of Nithya, is mysteriously looking at something amidst the backdrop of a crime board comprising several leads about a case. Atharva comes with an interesting caption - 'Every contact leaves with a trace.'
Atharva is bankrolled by Subhash Nuthalapati under Peggo Entertainments. Nuthalapati Narasimham and Anasuyamma present the film while Vijaya and Jhansi are the executive producers. The first-of-its kind crime thriller also features Vijay Rama Raju, Gagan Vihari, Ram Mittakanti, Kiran Macha, Marimuthu and Anand will appear in important roles. Noted composer Sricharan Pakala, who last worked on the commercially successful Major, has been roped in for the music.
Charan Madhavaneni cranks the camera for the same with SB Uddhav taking charge on the editing table. Raam Kumar is the art director with Kasarla Shyam, Kittu Vissapragada penning the lyrics for the album. Bhanu and Raj Krishna are the choreographers. Wing Chun Anji and Premsun handle stunt choreography. Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi, Bombhaat, Check and Paagal are among other popular films of Simran Choudhary.
