Filmmaker Hari, who is awaiting the release of Arun Vijay's Yaanai, is in talks with Jayam Ravi. And, if everything falls into place, both of them will work on a project. According to unconfirmed reports, Hari has initiated talks with Jayam Ravi, and the latter is yet to give his nod. On the work front, the actor has multiple projects in his kitty, including the prestigious Ponniyin Selvan and Agilan. Once Jayam Ravi completes his existing projects, this film with Hari might take off.
Agilan is written and directed by N Kalyana Krishnan, with whom Jayam Ravi had worked together in Boologam (2015). Touted to be an action drama, the film which has Jayam Ravi playing a cop, also features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Tanya Ravichandran, Chirag Jani, Hareesh Peradi, Harish Uthaman, Tarun Arora, and Madhusudhan Rao, in key roles.
Agilan has music by Sam CS. The film is produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment. Also, Jayam Ravi has a project with director I Ahmed titled, Jana Gana Mana. With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, this one is a spy thriller also starring Taapsee Pannu, Dayana Erappa, Arjun, Rahman, MS Bhaskar, and Sacred Games-fame Elnaaz Norouzi, in important roles.

In an interview with Film Companion, Hari had said he could never think of making arthouse cinema. “Trust me, I admire Mani Ratnam, Bala, and Ameer for their work because they do something that I can’t,” he noted, adding he’s a huge fan of their making styles.
As a teenager Hari was a huge fan of Rajinikanth. And, eventually, he became a fan of directors, as he ventured into filmmaking. “When I watched Mersal, I became a fan of Atlee and Vijay. When I watched Vedalam, I became a fan of Siva and Ajith,” he said.
Hari is widely known for his Singam-franchise with actor Suriya.
Hari’s Yaanai trailer was released recently. The film features Arun Vijay, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Yogi Babu, Samuthirakani and Prakash Raj, in key roles.
