Singham Again star Arjun Kapoor says 'last five years have been difficult' for him: 'Have believed there's love out there for me'

Arjun Kapoor recently made a solid comeback with Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Although the Ajay Devgn starrer received mixed responses from the audience but people loved watching Arjun as the antagonist in the film. He played the role of Danger Lanka. Before the movie was released, Arjun made headlines for his breakup with Malaika Arora. Eventually, during the promotion of the film, Arjun confirmed that he is currently single. Recently, in an interview, Arjun spoke about his failures and how he dealt with them. He even said that the last five years were difficult for him.

Arjun Kapoor on dealing with failures

While speaking to Masala.com, Arjun, who made his big debut in the 2012 film Ishaqzaade alongside Parineeti Chopra, said that he believed that love and support are always there for him. The actor told the publication, "I have waited for a long time patiently and respectfully to be loved and appreciated. I think my debut was met with so much love, somewhere, I just wanted to rekindle that feeling. I'm just taking it one day at a time. Whether it's in interviews or just regular people who call me by the character's name; you want to feel validated. So I'm really enjoying this phase. There is a positivity, an energy, an excitement, and genuine love. You still have to work hard on the next opportunities and pick the opportunities responsibly."

Arjun further spoke about people wanting to cheer for him while giving the reference of 'good prevailing over evil'. He added, "I have also believed that there is love out there for me. There are people who want to cheer for me and want to support me. I'm talking about the paying audience at this point, along with the industry and the media. Perhaps, the surge of goodwill and excitement comes from ‘good prevailing over evil' in that sense. Eventually, there are enough good people, and there's enough goodness in this world where they are backing you. The last couple of years or even the last five years have been difficult for me."

Work front

Singham Again also starred Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Deepika Padukone in key roles. The film was released on November 1, 2024, and it locked horns with Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Both films managed to perform well at the box office. Next, Arjun will be seen in the No Entry sequel with Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. The film will be helmed by Anees Bazmee.
