#Single box office collections day 1: Sree Vishnu's film starts on a decent note, grosses Rs 4.3 crore

#Single is Sree Vishnu's new film that hit the screens on May 9, 2025. Ever since the teaser was released, there has been decent buzz around the film, which is directed by Caarthick Raju. The comedy caper opened to positive word of mouth, and as per the latest trade updates, #Single grossed ₹4.2 crore on its first day. These are decent numbers, and with the weekend ahead, the collections are expected to grow.

#Single was released alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Subham, which also opened to strong word of mouth. As a result, #Single will face some box office competition. The film is produced by Allu Aravind of Magadheera fame, who has already secured a solid OTT deal with Amazon Prime Video, putting the project in a safe financial zone. Whatever the film earns theatrically will be additional profit for the makers.

In a recent statement, Allu Aravind revealed that a portion of the profits will be donated to the Indian Army, which continues to defend the border with Pakistan. This gesture adds a noble dimension to the film's success.

#Single is also notable for marking the Telugu debut of Love Today fame Ivana. She plays a girl deeply in love with Sree Vishnu, and her character arc carries strong emotional weight in the second half. Sree Vishnu, known for his comedic roles in films like Samajavaragamana, delivers once again with an engaging performance. His chemistry with comedian Vennela Kishore, of Sati Gani Rendu Ekaralu fame, is hilarious and stands out as one of the film’s biggest assets.

#Single witnessed decent occupancy during the evening and night shows across the Telugu states on day one. In the U.S., the film had a slow start, but a better turnout is expected over the weekend. The film also stars Ketika Sharma of BRO fame as the other lead. She plays a significant role and is being praised for her sincere performance.

Sree Vishnu stated that audiences have always supported him when he experiments with new genres. After doing serious films like Thippara Meesam, he has been leaning toward fun, light-hearted roles, #Single being a prime example. The OTT release of #Single is expected in the first week of June 2025.
